Responsible for overseeing sales and operations for audiovisual services in excess of $12 million gross operating revenue annually in one of the largest convention hotels in the San Diego region. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing day to day floor operations in tandem with Director of Operations and Hourly staff.

  • Drive revenue and sales in tandem with Director of Sales and overall sales team.

  • Lead client show development and production to foster a creative sales process.

  • Coordinate equipment and labor logistics for show production and everyday inventory needs.

  • Coordinate with fellow property directors and Regional VP of Venues with labor and equipment sharing.

  • Maintain positive and progressive hotel partner relationship to increase group business revenue.

  • Uphold IATSE union relations for both local chapter and Encore team members.

  • Develop and maintain progressive vendor relations for sub-rentals and production needs.

Established during the Covid-19 pandemic while on furlough. I created opportunities for myself in the virtual meeting environment, building local production partnerships as well as developing online clients.

Produced online local music and cultural news outlet, covering local and national touring musical acts, film festivals, music festivals and art exhibitions. Worked with local production companies to help produce and operate local events such as Street Scene Music Festival, Adams Ave. Street Fair, Coronado 4th of July Parade and more.
